littleprintpress on etsy
These prints by British artist Emma Lawrenson (aka LittlePrintShop) are just perfection: simple, lovely, clean, light. She works big—some of these are really substantial, not teeny little prints that might get lost in a mix. I love her colors, and I love her (rare) black-and-whites. I'm going to show you a bunch because they're all so sweet I can't choose among them.

furbish studio
Furbish is a Raleigh-based design studio that sells a full range of furniture and home goods online. It's also got a really well curated selection of reasonably priced artwork. My favorites include the Wes Anderson–esque fox above and the prints below that seem like a perfect reflection of the Furbish style: gracious, pretty, soothing.

hopewell workshop quilts
Two LA friends make beautiful, simple quilts under the name Hopewell Workshop. The name was inspired by a Native American trade route, and their work has a southwestern plainness to it that I love. It's Americana that's not ironic or cheesy (which is so often the case). Like I said about Denyse Schmidt's modern quilts a while back, you could hang these, drape them on a bed or sofa, or bring them to a picnic.

steve juras
CB2 (recent source of my favorite bar glasses and coffee table) pointed me in the direction of Steve Juras. You can get one of his Practice Drawings from CB2—and you should check out his own site, which has more of that series plus more work by this Chicago artist, who draws, paints, and makes (often collaborative) installations.

gaby burger on etsy
A little bit of pretty, which I'm needing in the middle of this early March snow. Gaby Burger sells her prints in miniature, but you can contact her for larger ones—and wouldn't these stark blooms look best blown up?

ryan mcginness skateboard decks
I've loved Ryan McGinness for years. After he first released his skate-inspired, totally un-dainty floral prints, you could see his style copied everywhere, from brand labels to clothing tags to Food Network promo lettering. He's got a new series at Little Collector, a site devoted to high-quality, truly cool kids' art: skateboard decks covered in his trademark intricate drawings. Wouldn't it be great to hang all three in a row?
Now, if only I can get my hands on something like this:

amelia midori miller
Amelia Midori Miller (Tokyo born, SVA trained, Brooklyn based) caught my eye on the Saatchi site a while back. Her paintings are serious: not only are they large in scale—"Tie Down," above, is 52 x 38—but their bold lines and colors just seem...big. I'll play interior designer and say any one of these would make a great statement on white walls with, say, a sleek gray low-slung sectional. (Note that serious size means serious prices. But Saatchi sells prints of some of her pieces starting at $40.)
