catching my eye

No theme, no real point—just a few pretty things (all images from my Pinterest) that have caught my eye this week: a bag from Anthro, an anchor bangle, a filigree pendant, a blousy Mexican-y top. Oh, is it Mother's Day?

thursday cravings

Rebecca Minkoff's gray Mini M.A.C.

Here's an extremely specific and biased list for this stylish Valentine's Thursday: a few of the things on my shallow, materialistic mind right now.

Dana  Haim's beautiful mobile (similar to these), featured on Daily Candy today.
I would put this in my living room.
See by Chloe smells fantastic.
Plus the typeface is perfect.
I'm not usually a flats kind of girl,
but I do love me a scalloped edge.
This song. And I wouldn't turn down tickets to her sister's show, eitiher.
This rug would work in any room of my house.
This print would work anywhere, too.
Maya Brenner makes all kinds of great jewelry,
and this necklace reflects my fascination-slash-fear of
sharks.
Club Monaco Augustine dress. Or in hot pink.

ariel gordon house tour

Click through to see the pretty bowls on her (knockoff!) Tulip table

Ariel Gordon designs beautiful jewelry. Turns out she got her start working for another great LA jeweler—and now they share office space. Gordon's house, as seen on Glitter Guide, is completely charming, filled with great art, beautiful colors, and Ikea mixed with high-end.

Wish I could see more of that big print behind the sofa
Notice the honesty of the computer wiring under the otherwise perfect desk
The admittedly tiny bedroom is girly, but not too girly
A wallpapered corner in the office she shares with Maya Brenner

animal roundup

Bird

Animal imagery is never really off my list. Seems like this week it's especially on. I could fill pages and pages, but 'll limit myself to these:

Bird feathers count, right?
Crocodile necklace
(and lots of other creatures)
Owls
Duck (Sharon Montrose can do no wrong)
Bear
Antlers

anthropologie bracelets

Pinta cuff

Anthropologie makes it so difficult for me to stop buying bracelets. Gold(ish) cuffs, with simple adornment—there's definitely a theme. I love all of these, and I need none of them.
Orbiting Rivets Cuff
Pave Pompom Cuff
Huyana Cuff, Arrow
(kind of a knockoff of this)
Huyana Cuff, Feather

tom binns

Aqua neon necklace

Tom Binns's neon jewelry is absolutely fabulous. I'm sure Forever 21 has ripped it off for about ten bucks, but the real thing is so much better. It's 1980s redux in the best possible way.

Love it in "pastelle"
Over the top, in a good way
Like the best friendship bracelet ever
Short techno rogue necklace
(the asymmetry makes it)
Neon yellow paint-spattered necklace

anthropologie nodule sylph bracelet

In silver

Anthropologie's delicate leafy cuff is so my style. I like it in gold *and* silver. But why does the title include the word "nodule"? And why is it backordered until the end of March?

Detail in gold

Gold flower band

This Me & Ro daisy ring couldn't be sweeter. Spotted via Jessica's pinterest page (and you should read her fantastic blog too).

Comes with just three flowers too
...and a silver variation with one bigger flower

catbird alphabet rings

These rings from Brooklyn jewelry shop Catbird are so sweet. I'd stack a C, a T, and this little heart:

house of harlow 1960 necklace

Necklace available on Amazon

I'm still getting used to the idea of Nicole Richie as a paragon of style and glamour. (Nicole Richie?) But I spotted this necklace—from her House of Harlow jewelry line—on a woman in town recently, and I'm kind of into it.

giles and brother archer bangle

Archer bangle bracelet

I was doing some highbrow airport reading, and I saw this great-looking bracelet on the editors-recommendations page of InStyle. Giles and Brother's Archer bangle is clunkier than I usually go for. But something about the knots is perfectly tough and cute. (Click on the link to get better views than this small photo; I'm still figuring out the finer points of image copying in Blogger.)

alex woo jewelry

Alex Woo went to college with my brother. (Long-ago shared history: We once had a fun lunch in a restaurant where Dylan's Candy Bar is now located.) She's all grown up now and has been making adorable—and beautifully crafted—jewelry for years. She's got it all: flowers, animals, letters, numbers, clovers:
