camouflage?

(from Pinterest)

I'm not sure how I feel about camouflage as regular clothing. Is it offensive for a non-member of the military to wear it? Do the heels make it even more offensive? Is it cute or cool or ironic? Or just plain ridiculous for a (ahem) suburban (reluctant) SUV-driving mom? (Shopbop has some advice. Take that for what it's worth.)

  1. As a former Army wife and a fashion browser (though rarely adventurous enough to actually try much), I'm conflicted. I do find civilians wearing camo slightly offensive, though less so when it's something obviously not part of a uniform, like super skinny crops. But that top picture with the unzipped skinnies and those fantastic purple heels? Pretty bad ass. I'd totally attempt that if I could wear skinnies. (And heels. Ahem.)

  3. I have your same reservations... I don't think I can pull it off. The boyfriend is always trying to get me to wear it, for some reason!
