Paule Marrot

Vase 2

These paintings by Paule Marrot—available through the online gallery Natural Curiosities—are so simple and cheerful, the perfect jolt of color in midwinter. (Not that I'm complaining; it was so warm that Charlie wore shorts in the park today.)

walnut paperie

Stationery 009

Look at these beautiful notecards from this Southern California company, run by two women. It's kind of a girly/preppy/pretty clean aesthetic. That pink and green flower design should have my name on it.

lourdes sanchez

Lourdes Sanchez has done some work for West Elm that I've noticed and liked. Her own website is full of beautiful, colorful images. I'll take the honeycomb and the snail, please.

fabriko

Sailor bags

Fabriko (spotted on Babyccino's excellent blog) makes sweet, simple fabrics. It's a Swedish brand, founded by a mother. Love the navy and the minty green.

Bed linens, coming soon
Little pillow (check out those knotted corners)
Pencil case (would work as a travel makeup bag)

mollusk surf shop

Van kids' T-shirt
Mollusk Surf Shop, a neighbor of Outerlands cafe and the General Store in San Francisco's Outer Sunset, seems to share their hippie vibe and groovy aesthetic. I love these screen prints.

the butter

Holiday Ribbon stamp

The Butter, a NY-based design shop, makes really, really good paper products. That ribbon stamp reminds me a bit of my Minted business cards, but with a quieter, less frilly look.

berry tree

Charlie decided to decorate the bare Japanese maple in the back yard. He used kitchen twine to tie on berries from another tree. Festive, right? And talk about recycling. (Oh, and yes I did let him use those clippers. Bad parenting.)

club cinq children's clothing

Swiss-based Club Cinq makes children's clothes that are ridiculously gorgeous. Why doesn't someone do this here (so I don't have to pay crazy shipping costs)? Simple shapes, pale or neutral colors, a stripe or two? Throw in a bow here and there? (Immature observation: Doesn't the name "Club Cinq" sound like a strip club?)
