I haven't seen Cars 2 yet, and I can't say I'm eager to. Charlie's starting to make noise about it; Tessa judges a movie by the number of animals it contains, so she's a little less interested. But I *was* happy to see this video, despite the crazy Pixar marketing. It's my former crush Rivers Cuomo, covering a fun song by his first producer, Cars (get it?) leader Ric Ocasek. I adored Weezer back in the day. Rivers embodied my love of boys with nerd glasses and a clever way with rhymes. It all kind of went downhill sometime after this ridiculously cute Spike Jonze video (guaranteed to delight your kids). And even though Weezer never went away—"Beverly Hills"? Ugh. This song? Not so bad—it's nice to see them again.
