what i see when i run

What I See When I Run is a somewhat mysterious online shop of really clean, beautiful botanical photographs. I can't tell much about about the photographer/proprietor; I think he's male, he might live in Singapore, and he has a tumblr page. His prints—on matte paper, for a grainy, illustration-esque look—look especially impressive in the larger A1 format.

rebecca atwood for stampa

I've recommended Stampa to a bunch of clients; it's a great source for relatively affordable art that still feels special and different. Now Rebecca Atwood, a textile designer whose work I've also admired, has joined the roster. Her simple but feminine designs definitely show her background in pillows and pouches—and they're right up my alley.

paper collective

I'm changing course from the stripes I inadvertently showcased twice this week. Paper Collective sources work from graphic designers to produce these excellent prints. I'm a big fan of the large, poster-y format and the streamlined style.

snedker studio

Pernille Snedker Hansen, a Danish artist, makes these gorgeous marbled one-of-a-kind pieces. They'd be great in a modern kid's room, or juxtaposed against a structured neutral-colored sofa.

sol lewitt at mass moca

I know, I know, I've got a lot of catching up to do over here. But before it fades too far into from my memory, I have to show you the Sol Lewitt wall drawings we saw at MASS MoCA earlier this month. (Here's more info about the museum, which is definitely worth a visit if you're near that corner of Massachusetts.) Lewitt designed the images, a group of artists executed his plans precisely to his specifications, and they're mesmerizing. (I took a ton of pictures on my iPhone...and then dropped and broke my phone before backing up. So RP's photos will have to suffice. They're better anyway.)
